To access Reverse or Forward gears you simply lift the handle and pull back and let the handle drop in gear. There's no need to lift the handle again to shift gears until you either need to access Reverse or Park. From Drive, lift the handle straight up and this will bypass the reverse lockout safety feature, then move the shift handle forward into Reverse or Park. It's just that easy! Also, the reverse lockout feature meets NHRA and IHRA safety regulations and won't allow you to accidentally over shift into reverse while making a pass at the strip. To use the ratcheting function at the strip, shift into low gear, launch the vehicle and hit the shifter forward when it's time to shift. You cannot over-shift and miss a gear. The chrome bezel, shift stick, and knob are all accented by the black console, flat boot, and deep blue medallion, giving your vehicle's interior that classic muscle car style while providing fast and smooth ratchet shifting. The shifter includes a lighted gear position indicator in the bezel, a micro-switch for back-up lights and a neutral safety switch preventing accidental starts when in gear. Includes a 5-foot long performance shift cable, cable bracket, trans shift lever, all hardware and detailed instructions for an easy installation you can do at home. Compatible with TH350, TH400, 700R4, 200R4, 4L60, 4L60E - 4L80E transmissions (w/o PRNDL switch) right out of the box.
