Replacement Pitman Arm Quality replacement of a commonly worn suspension part. Steering feeling a little sloppy in your Nova? The pitman arm could very well be the problem. The pitman arm connects to the power steering box and the center drag link on the driver's side to move the front wheels left or right while you steer. If the joint is worn on the end of the pitman arm, this could lead to a wobbly feel in your steering.
